What Is The Retirement Age In Kentucky?

If you do not want your benefit to be reduced, the requirements are:

  • When you are 57 years old or more, you may retire without your benefit being reduced, if your age and years of service equal 87 (Rule of 87).
  • If you are 65 years old, with a minimum of 60 months of vested service, you may retire at any time without any reduction to your benefits.

The requirements for a Reduced Benefit are:

  • If you are 60 years old or more, with a minimum of 120 months of vested service, you may retire with a reduction in benefits.
  • If you are qualified for a reduced benefit, the amount of reduction will depends greatly on your age or years of vested service at retirement.

Hazardous

If you do not want your benefit to be reduced, the requirements are:

  • When you are 25 years or more, you may retire at any time with no reduction in benefits, this also depends on your years of service.
  • If you are 60 years or more, with a minimum of 60 months of vested service, you may retire at any time with no reduction in benefits.

The requirements for a Reduced Benefit are:

  • If you are 50 years or more, with a minimum of 180 months of vested service, you may retire with a reduction in benefits.
  • If you are qualified for a reduced benefit, the amount of reduction depend greatly on your age or years of vested service at retirement.
